Have you ever wanted to move a book on a shelf and a secret door opens?

Well, these secret doors are not confined to our imaginations! 

Homeowners can now buy pre-cut kits that disguise access to another part of their home without a typical visible door or archway. Often called “murphy” doors, in reference to the hideaway beds of the same name, these doors use undetectable hinges to completely hide passageways. 

Some of these kits are designed to blend in with a continuous wallcovering material like wood panels and others take the form of a bookshelf. They can hide a closet, a man cave or a private office.
