2022 Design Trends

In 2021, design trends were all about integrating style and practicality to make the most of our homes as we continued to spend more time in our homes.

In 2022, design trends are about creating a space that really reflects your style visually and feeling. Our spaces should create the energy that we want to feel every day.

Here are some 2022 design trends:

  1. Bold Patterns & Colours

Expect to see a lot of bold colours and patterns reminiscent of the ’60s and ’70s as well as ’70s inspired furniture. Bringing the outdoors in with all shades of green is also a big trend in 2022.

2. Traditional Details

In 2022, we’re going back to more traditional details in our homes. Pattern mixing, antique pieces, real wood, marble and linens, things that make our homes feel organic.

3. Mindful Spaces

This year is about having a deeper connection with our spaces as they impact our emotions and wellbeing.  Our spaces need to have our personalities and include our simple pleasures, interests and habits.

4. Homework Rooms

As covid-19 is still affecting our daily lives, we need to integrate at-home learning into our homes. Creating a mini-classroom setting for our children is essential these days. These rooms can easily be turned into a home office later.
